The Well College Internship
What is it? Why do we need it?
UT Campus
UT is a diverse place, with more than 130 countries represented and 6,800 international students. The nations come to UT, which cultivates a beautiful culture. UT is also full of passionate hard workers. Many students can wind up pouring their identities into school, their futures, and social validation without even realizing it.
Lost, Broken, Confused
Many students can end up feeling symptoms of depression or isolation. A study from the University of Michigan, showed that 44% of college students show symptoms of depression. At a school of 52,000 students, that’s about 23,000.
Desire to be Known
Through the Well Internship, we’ll be stepping onto campus multiple days a week with the desire to know and love all students.
We will invite them into fellowship and community and grow lasting friendships!
The Well’s Mission
“To exalt Jesus by reproducing disciples who impact the world for the glory of God. Our vision is to plant 100 churches nationally and 100 churches internationally in the first 50 years of being a church.”
The College Intern
As the Well College Intern, I’ll be doing outreach and evangelism on campus, leading discovery bible studies, building relationships at a one-place on campus, attending the Well staff meeting, and helping with administrative tasks.
Making Disciples
Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:7-8 represent our heart for going out. Jesus spoke in parables so the curious and spiritually open would return to Him. We will do the same, making sure everything from our flesh diminishes and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit.
